Do I need any tools to assemble the shelf?

No tools are required to fold and lock the shelf. You will need a drill and spirit level to mount it to the wall — standard equipment for any wall-fixing.
How strong is it?

We rate it at 15kg under normal conditions (evenly distributed load, correctly mounted to a solid wall). We have tested beyond this figure. The 15kg rating includes a safety margin.
Can I unfold it if I make a mistake?

The lock is designed to be permanent. It can be reversed with deliberate force (a flat-head screwdriver applying lateral pressure to the tab) but this is not something we would recommend doing more than once. The geometry is optimised for a single, correct fold.
What if I fold it incorrectly?

Contact us. That is exactly what the Mistake-Free Guarantee exists for.
Can it be used outdoors?

No. The powder coat provides excellent durability in indoor dry conditions. Prolonged outdoor or high-humidity exposure will cause oxidation at any point where the coat is compromised. We do not design or test for outdoor use.
Will the shelf scratch my wall?

The mounting method is two screws into the wall. The shelf does not rest against the wall surface. There is no contact between the steel and the painted surface.

About the material:

What exactly is "Human Signature" texture?

When electrostatic powder coat is applied at 2mm steel thickness and cured at 200°C, micro-variations in surface texture are an inherent result of the process. They are visible as slight unevenness in gloss level under raking light. They are not scratches, defects, or coating failures. We named them rather than apologising for them.
Why 2mm steel and not thicker?

2mm is the minimum gauge at which the fold geometry produces a structurally rigid form without spring-back. Below 2mm, the fold would require mechanical assistance or would not hold. Above 2mm, the hand fold becomes physically demanding and the weight increases without structural benefit.
Is it magnetic?

Yes. Cold-rolled steel is ferromagnetic. The neodymium magnet included in the box adheres to the shelf surface through the powder coat. This is intentional — the magnet is part of the accessory ecosystem we are building.

Can I order multiple shelves?

Yes. The Trio bundle (3 × KREAZ 30) ships in one package and is available at a reduced price.
Do you offer gift packaging?

The standard packaging is already designed to be gifted. There is no additional gift wrap option — the kraft box with kraft tape and minimal print is the gift. If you want to include a personal message, add it in the order notes at checkout and we will include a handwritten card.
I'm outside the UK — can I order?

Not yet. We are working on EU shipping. Add your email to the notify list with your country and we will contact you when it opens.

Who makes KREAZ?

KREAZ is a brand of Wheatr Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. The shelves are manufactured in Türkiye by a precision metalwork facility and distributed from the United Kingdom.
Why Türkiye?

Our manufacturing partner has the CNC laser cutting and industrial powder coating infrastructure required to meet our tolerance specifications. Proximity to the UK reduces transit time and carbon compared to Far East manufacturing. And frankly, the metalwork quality is exceptional.
Where did the idea come from?

The founder has a background in product development and spent time in Turkey working with metal fabrication. The idea emerged from frustration with furniture that arrives finished and leaves nothing for the person who buys it. The flat-fold mechanism was developed through multiple prototype iterations. The lock geometry — specifically making it geometric rather than friction-based — took the longest to get right.
